Meet Miriam Shimon (CieloDesign)

Bead Art Originals welcomes Miriam Shimon! Miriam is the talented artist behind CieloDesign, where she showcases her one-of-a-kind festive jewelry.

It's almost unbelievable that Miriam has been beadweaving for just over a year! She's mostly self taught, excited by the endless possibilities of creating elaborate designs from simple beads and applying old techniques to new innovative designs. She has a strong passion for intricate patterns with lots of sparkle and drama; and she loves being inspired by new materials, textures, and colors and the pure beauty of transforming them into jewelry that is art.

Miriam's first experience with beads was when she was 12 years old when her mother gave her a seed bead kit for her birthday. It would be many years before she picked it up again, but once she did she never looked back.
She resides in Israel, where she handstitches her unique designs one by one.

Read more about Miriam's creations in her blog, and see more of them in her flickr photostream. Be sure to visit her Etsy shop to see her latest listings or to request a custom design.
